And to help you prepare for this exam, ELS has developed comprehensive Prep Programs to ensure the best preparation possible and the confidence you need to succeed.

The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is a standardized test designed to measure the ability to understand and use English for entrance to colleges and universities throughout the world and for current professionals such as doctors, nurses, pharmacists, business and financial managers.
The new Internet Based Test or iBT exam measures the communicative ability of students in all four language areas: Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing. The test challenges students in both their receptive (Reading / Listening) and their expressive language ability (Speaking / Writing).
At ELS, we offer a preparation program for everyone:

• Standard 50 hour course – every 5 weeks
• Intensive short course – 20 hours, group commitment as needed
• Individual counseling, tutoring – flexible and as needed
These courses are not easy and require a minimum standard of English language proficiency to join. The shorter, intensive courses require a very high standard of language ability as they focus more exclusively on test format, modules and strategies.
For students who do not currently have a high intermediate to advanced language proficiency, ELS offers Academic prep courses. These are designed to challenge students to improve their academic skills in English. The courses are designed to lead into the TOEFL prep but can be taken separately to enhance students’ reading and writing skills for academic or business purposes.
